This is a garden lover’s paradise. The owners have created a luxuriant garden on the various terraces here, having made good use of the traditional irrigation water system to bring life to the mountainside. The selection of plants, trees, shrubs and vegetables here is truly amazing and the garden has been featured on local and international television documentaries. The garden receives visits from individuals, small groups and large coaches – entry fee charged. Visitors usually enjoy refreshments or even full three course al fresco meals – the writer Chris Stewart (Driving Over Lemons and other works) has regularly brought his walking groups here for a leisurely lunch. There is a large and well appointed garden building to receive visitors with its own kitchen and toilet facilities. This building and associated area are accessed independently from the main house, have also been used to host musical concerts, catering events and a small cookery school demonstrating how to use the large wood fired oven and outdoor kitchen.
